39 Weeks- Almost There!

39 WEEKS

Size: Watermelon {20-22" long; about 7 pounds}

Gender: Baby Boy

Baby Names?: I can't believe we get to name our baby boy in {hopefully} 1 WEEK!

Cravings: None, except vanilla yogurt tastes sooooo good right now.  Probably because everything else gives me acid reflux.

Aversions: I don't have any new ones, but I think I've eaten so many otter pops that my body can't handle them anymore.  Plus there is SO much sugar in them that the acid reflux and heartburn I get after eating more than one isn't worth it.

Symptoms: Back pain, small & inconsistent contractions, headaches, blurry vision {has been going on for a while}, fatigue

Movement: I love feeling Peanut move! It gets really uncomfortable at times but I absolutely love it.  I just can't wait to hold the little guy!

Nausea/Sickness: On Thursday I felt really...weird.  After eating dinner I just felt funny and I have no idea why. Oh well...

Sleep: I'm starting to go to bed a lot later than usual {between 11 and 12} and I wake up a lot earlier than I used to {between 7 and 8}.  It's not super awesome for me because then I'm exhausted the whole day, but I feel like I've tried everything and nothing has worked to help me fall asleep. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Maternity Clothes: Yes, but right now Kurt's t-shirts have been a staple in my wardrobe because I don't leave the house often and he has all these soft running t-shirts that are way comfy. Thanks, Husband :)

Wedding Ring On or Off?: Definitely off

Best Moment of the Week: We got to spend a lot of time with Kurt's family this week since most of his siblings live here in Utah.  We went up to Ogden and spent the night up there, then went straight from Ogden to Eagle Mountain for the evening.  Peanut & I are on the same page- we hate long drives.  The driving was pretty uncomfortable and occasionally painful, but it was worth it.  On Thursday, my sister-in-law brought over her 2 boys and I got to play with them and chat.  On Saturday, we went up to Salt Lake City where Kurt's Aunt hosted a wonderful baby shower for us.  We are so blessed to have such wonderful family members who spoil us and our little boy like crazy!

Worst Moment of the Week: Finding out that I still haven't progressed at all and my body is showing no signs of labor coming any time soon.  I'm getting so antsy and the anticipation is building so much that I can hardly handle it.

Looking Forward To: HAVING OUR BABY! The countdown is 1 week, but it could be shorter or longer- who knows?!  My doctor is out of town during my last week of pregnancy, so if the baby comes early a different doctor will be delivering the baby.  If Peanut arrives on his due date or later, my doctor will definitely be there.  I love my doctor and I want this baby to come early- but I can't have both.  Let's just keep our fingers crossed that everything will work out the way it's supposed to.

How is it that Kurt and I are possibly going to have a baby by the end of the week?!  Looking back, this pregnancy has flown by so quickly.  In the moment, some of the days and weeks drag on and the pain and discomfort can make it even worse, but I can't believe this journey is coming to an end and another is getting ready to begin.

Overall, pregnancy is exactly what I expected, but not at the same time.  I knew it would be hard, but in the moment some things seemed impossible to handle.  Looking back is always the easiest part because you know you got through all the hard stuff and if you had to do it again, you could.  The back pain, throwing up, ill-fitting clothes, lack of sleep, constant colds, food aversions, frequent headaches, inability to bend over and tie my shoes, and much more is all worth it to experience an increase in my ability to love, kicks and wiggles, baby hiccups, listening to my baby's heartbeat, and watching my little baby grow.
At almost every doctor visit, my OBGYN says, "Heavenly Father knew what he was doing."  And He does!  I can't believe I've been given this wonderful calling of becoming a mother and that my body has what it takes to grow a tiny little body and to grow and create families.  The science behind how a baby grows and develops is so miraculous, detailed, and specific that I can't help but know that all of what happens is because of God. My dream of motherhood will soon become my reality, and I am feeling so grateful.

37 & 38 Weeks

37 WEEKS

Size: Winter Melon {19.8" long, 6.2 lbs}

Gender: Bouncing Baby Boy!

Baby Names?: It's been so fun hearing people's guesses this past week!  Keep them coming :)

Cravings: We've been on an otter pop craze over here, and have already gone through 2 bags {we buy the generic brand ones that come in the red mesh bag from Walmart- better flavors, bigger, and cheaper}.

Aversions: None, other than the obvious...

Symptoms: Heartburn, back pain, Braxton Hicks contractions, fatigue.  The usual.  I'm just happy that I have only 3 more weeks of these symptoms because I've got a whole load of new symptoms coming my way when it comes to recovering from labor and having a newborn.

Movement: He definitely likes to move, but is really running out of room. He doesn't consistently wiggle like he used to; he makes more prominent movements that aren't painful but are definitely uncomfortable.

Nausea/Sickness: None...but I do get headaches if I'm dehydrated.  I'm trying my best to keep up with my water intake {which is hard to do when you have to take a bathroom break every hour}.

Sleep: I'm definitely getting a lot of practice when it comes to waking up in the middle of the night.  It's hard to sleep through the night without waking up due to heartburn or the need to empty my bladder.

Maternity Clothes: Nothing but.

Wedding Ring On or Off?: Hahahahaha...off.

Best Moment of the Week: In general, we've had a more relaxing week that usual, which has been so nice. I did my best to take advantage of it because relaxing weeks are coming to a close for this family.

Worst Moment of the Week: I lost the memory card to my camera, and I have already cried every day about it since I discovered that I lost it {pregnancy hormones do not help, either}.  It's been really frustrating because I have no idea where it could be because I don't understand why it's not in my camera.  I'm more frustrated over the fact that I haven't uploaded all the pictures that were on it.  The card is replaceable, but the photos aren't.

Looking Forward To: My appointment with my OBGYN next week.  During my last appointment, I learned that my body hasn't progressed towards getting ready for labor AT ALL.  So, hopefully better news next week that this little boy and my body will show signs that he will make his appearance soon!

38 WEEKS

Size: Spaghetti Squash {about 20" long, about 6.5 lbs}

Gender: A little boy :) I still can't believe it! I'm still a little worried that I'm going to unexpectedly have a girl haha

Baby Names?: Anyone want to take any more guesses?? We've been keeping it a surprise for a while and we have a few more weeks until we officially get to name our son {Remember, his name starts with a "C"}.

Cravings: None, but we have been on this fruit/fruit flavored craze for almost a month now.  We made chocolate covered strawberries this week which were so delicious.  Kurt randomly wanted to make them, so we did.  I'm glad we followed Kurt's instinct.

Aversions: I'm no longer going to answer this question haha.  If I don't want to eat something, it's because I'm not in the mood for it at the current moment {except for when it comes to salsa}.

Symptoms: Difficulty sleeping, nerve pain, back pain, fatigue, Braxton Hicks contractions.  Only 2 more weeks of this until I get to deal with a bunch of other symptoms that come with having a baby.  The swelling of my hands and feet has started to bother me less but is still present.  My feet and hands swell like crazy when I go for long walks.

Movement: He loves to wiggle, but doesn't have the room to; when he wants to move around and squirm, boy does he! I can feel him stretching a lot- I'm sure he's feeling so cramped!

Nausea/Sickness: None this week except for when I go too long without drinking water or if I'm walking around for too long.

Sleep: Not as easy as I hoped it would be.  Even when I am utterly exhausted it still takes me a while to fall asleep and I still wake up in the wee hours of the morning because of discomfort, need for a bathroom break, Little "C" moving, etc.  I also get acid reflux whenever I sleep and so I'm constantly waking up and grabbing Tums to help me.  Hopefully that goes away after I have the baby.

Maternity Clothes: Of course :) I've been in the BTM (big-time-mood) to buy clothes recently, but it's a bit difficult to do so because I don't want to buy maternity clothes but I also don't know how much my body will change after baby so I don't know what will fit and what won't.

Wedding Ring On or Off?: Still off, and will be for a while.

Best Moment of the Week: Kurt and I went to an Open House for his uncle and got to see a lot of family members {some which I hadn't met yet, too!}.  Kurt's uncle retired after working in the Alpine School District here in Utah for 38 years- what an accomplishment! We love seeing extended family so we had a great time.

*I found the memory card for my camera! It was in the bottom of the washing machine as I was transferring laundry to the dryer.  Thank goodness it was there.

Worst Moment of the Week: I lost our laundry card.  Seriously, I am the worst at keeping track of things now!  I can't be trusted with anything because I'm guaranteed to lose it.

Looking Forward To: Memorial Day! We have a lot of things planned with Kurt's family so it's definitely going to be a busy weekend full of driving {not exactly my favorite part}.  But we won't be able to drive and travel around too much because I'll be recovering from having a baby and Kurt and I will be getting used to parenthood.
Also, another doctor's appointment! I'm hoping that we'll get good news during this visit {that the baby and I are still healthy} and maaaaybe I'll have progressed in some way. *fingers crossed*

Kurt and I are in shock at how quickly these last 38 weeks have gone.  In the moment, some of the weeks seemed to go by so slowly and I felt that this pregnancy would never end! Now, we are just two weeks away from having our baby boy and I can't believe it; at least I'm hoping we are only two weeks away- I'd prefer for it not to be longer than that.
We want to thank everyone for being so excited for us and for being so supportive.  We couldn't have gone through this journey without you and we are stoked to start the journey of learning how to be parents!

35 & 36 Weeks

35 WEEKS

Size: Canary Melon {18.8" long, about 5.3 lbs.}

Gender: Baby Boy. I am still in shock that I'm having a boy.  I'm seriously still in shock that I'm going to have a baby!

Baby Names?: Still sticking with what we've come up with.  A few questions I've been asked about the name are- "Is it a family name?" {No, it's not. Kurt picked it out and we both (eventually) really loved it} and "Is it a common name?" {I guess...? I bet everyone knows someone with this name.}

Cravings: None really, but strawberries have definitely been hitting the spot this week.

Aversions: Nothing besides salsa.  Sometimes things just don't sound good in the moment, but it's not like I can't eat them.

Symptoms: Definitely some back pain, leg cramps, Braxton Hicks {not too often though}, acid reflux, and there are definitely more bathroom breaks that need to be taken.

Movement: Less, but still a lot.  He rolls around and stretches a bunch, but I don't get any jabs or hard kicks in the ribs which has been nice.  Whenever I wake up in the morning and toss & turn before I get out of bed, he always kicks and rolls around too.  I like to think he's saying, "Good morning!"

Nausea/Sickness: None!- which has been great because I really don't want to feel sick.  I still get kind of light headed if I need water, but that's a pretty easy fix since I literally carry a water bottle with me everywhere I go.

Sleep: It's definitely gotten a lot harder to sleep through the night.  I haven't slept through the night at all this week because I'm always getting up somewhere between 2:00-5:00 am to go to the bathroom. I'm quite confident Peanut sleeps on my bladder.

Maternity Clothes: Obvi. But hopefully not for too much longer!

Wedding Ring On or Off?: Officially off.  I put it on one day and after an hour my finger swelled so badly, Kurt thought we were going to have to go and get it cut off! With a lot of cooking spray, ice water, and wiggling, I was able to get it off.  I doubt I will be wearing it for the next month or two.

Best Moment of the Week: Kurt and I celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary.  I can't believe we've been married for 2 years already.  We each spent the day at work {not super fun, but obviously necessary} and went to the Thanksgiving Point Tulip Festival.  We didn't take any pictures because we really just wanted to enjoy the things around us and spend the time walking and talking.  My feet definitely didn't like me the next day but it was so wonderful being able to spend the evening with the love of my life, reminding ourselves of how lucky we are to have done the things we've done over the last 2 years and how grateful we are for each other. I am so blessed to have such a sweet husband.

We also got to celebrate our sister-in-law's birthday! I absolutely LOVE birthdays, so it was fun being able to have cake & socialize.  A few days later we went out to dinner to celebrate again.  I am a strong believer in having a Birthday Week, so of course I was up for celebrating again.  Happy Birthday, Faith!

Worst Moment of the Week: I don't really have specific moments, but the swelling aspect of pregnancy has definitely hit full force this week, and it's been hard to deal with.  I'm literally doing all that I can {with the help of getting foot and hand massages from Kurt} to reduce the swelling and everything seems to work, but only temporarily.  Oh well.  All of this will be worth it in 5 more weeks!

Looking Forward To: Weekly doctor visits start next week! The reason why I'm looking forward to them is because it means I'm coming to the last couple weeks of pregnancy...YAY! I can't wait to meet our little baby, and the weeks go by a lot more quickly when I have appointments so often.  Plus, my OBGYN is seriously the best so that has really contributed to making pregnancy a positive experience.

36 WEEKS

Size: Papaya {19.2" long, 5.8 lbs}

Gender: Boy- and I'm getting really antsy about meeting him!

Baby Names?: I've looked back at my pregnancy journal {thank you Elise for getting it for me because it has made documenting pregnancy so much easier!} and I've written down all the nick names we have for our little baby: Peanut, Little Baby, Baby Boy, {the occasional "Buster" from Kurt}, and then several that incorporate his name!
When it comes to the name, it took me a long time to get on board with it.  Kurt picked it out and it was one of the only names he really liked.  I had some that I was completely set on, but Kurt wasn't so it made it really hard for me to keep liking them.  Eventually {and reluctantly} we decided on the name that Kurt picked and it took several weeks for it to grow on me.  We love the name we chose and are excited to name our little boy.

Cravings: No cravings this week, but Hi-Chews have been really popular in our household lately.  Kurt and I don't complain when it comes to fruity & chewy candy.

Aversions: Besides salsa? haha - not really.  Some things I'm just not in the mood for when Kurt is, but that's fairly normal.

Symptoms: Swelling, heart burn, itchy skin, and some intense pregnancy waddling.  The swelling I've had for a while, so I'm just trying to deal with it.  The heart burn is really annoying and I have to sleep with Tums next to my bed because I'll wake up at night with some serious heart burn.  My stomach has started to itch more, which is a sign that this baby is going to keep on growing and my body is going to need to keep up! Lotion is my best friend right now.

Movement: There seems to be less, but at the same time I just think it's different movements than what he used to do.  He's getting pretty crammed in there, so he rolls a lot and stretches when he can, but no hard or prominent movements that hurt too much.

Nausea/Sickness: None! Thank goodness.

Sleep: What is sleep? Haha I'm saying this now, but I know I will be even more sleep deprived in 4 weeks when this baby actually comes.  I'm always waking up to go to the bathroom or get a drink of water.  I am constantly too hot and wake up because of it.  I'm sure I'll find something that works for me to help me be less tired, and as soon as that happens our baby will come and my schedule and routine will completely switch around again.

Maternity Clothes: YES

Wedding Ring On or Off?: Off, and I'm not even going to try to put it back on for a while.

Best Moment of the Week: I had the opportunity to go to an event this week with Crio BrĂ¼ and I got to meet so many ladies who are business owners, bloggers, singers, and more.  I loved getting ready for something, not having to cook dinner, socializing, and getting to know so many wonderful people.  It was the perfect end to a long week and a fantastic start to the weekend.

We also got to babysit 2 of our nephews this weekend, which I always love.  It also made me a lot more excited to have a boy! I still feel completely clueless when it comes to boys because I'm a champ when it comes to playing with dolls, playing dress-up, playing house, etc.  I'm still working on getting to know the names of different trucks, cars, movie characters, etc.  Good thing Kurt and I still have a while before that phase comes!

Worst Moment of the Week: There really wasn't one, which is awesome!

Looking Forward To: Getting everything ready for this baby's arrival!  Peanut's room is all set up, but we still have a bunch of gear that needs to be set up, drawers that need to be organized, and random purchases here and there to complete our registry and such.  I am getting more excited everyday!

I had a moment this week {well, I've had a couple of these moments throughout my 3rd trimester} where I just broke down crying because of all the uncertainty that will come with giving birth, having a baby, and taking care of a newborn.  Before these break downs occur, I usually start crying because I can't handle the anticipation and I just want to meet our little boy so badly!!!  Then it turns into, "Oh my gosh we're having a baby and I have no idea what I'm doing!"  I've been quite the emotional rollercoaster {sorry, Kurt}.

Things I'm Afraid Of / Make Me Nervous:
>> LABOR
>> Post partum body
>> Lack of sleep
>> All the unknowns that come with having a baby
>> Being in pain
>> Not knowing how to take care of our baby
>> Judgement from other moms
>> Nursing

As worried as I am about a lot of these things, there are still a lot of things that I'm excited about and am looking forward to.
>> Growing my family
>> Watching my boy sleep
>> Kissing his little head
>> Morning cuddles
>> Baby giggles
>> Bonding moments
>> Family outings
>> Falling in love {again}

Being a mother is all I have ever wanted in life.  My dream is becoming a reality and I still can't believe it most of the time.  I feel so unbelievably blessed to have married an incredible man & for us to have a family together.  I just can't believe our little family will be growing at any point between now and {hopefully no more than} 4 weeks!  We love our baby now and can only imagine {for now} how much more we will love him when we meet him.

36 WEEKS

Size: Papaya {19.2" long, 5.8 lbs}

>> Falling in love {again}

31, 32, 33, & 34 Weeks

As you may have noticed, I'm officially the worst at blogging.  I am finally getting caught up on these pregnancy updates!  If you feel so inclined, here's a general idea of how the last 4 weeks have gone.  I can't believe this post covers an entire month of my pregnancy! Enjoy!

31 WEEKS

Size: Coconut {16.6" long, 3.8 lbs}

Gender: Still a boy :)

Baby Names?:  I have been using the name more and more, and have told some family members the name, but it's still on the DL.  We just want to make sure it's absolutely perfect!

Cravings: Not really specific long-term cravings, but I've been having a lot of short-term ones like macaroni & cheese, french toast, and PB&J sandwiches.  Occasionally I'll get cravings for things that aren't so good for me like candy, ice cream, cookies, etc.  Fortunately, I'm right on target for where I should be for weight gain during my pregnancy so I do indulge every so often.

Aversions: Salsa.  I just really can't stand it.  And I wish I liked it right now because the organic salsa from Costco is the best!

Symptoms: I woke up at 6:00am with a gnarly charlie horse and I yelled so loud Kurt jumped out of bed!  I felt awful for waking him up, but extremely grateful for the leg massage I got right afterward :)
Braxton Hicks have been coming and going, along with shortness of breath.  I'm assuming the shortness of breath will go away in the next couple of weeks because Peanut will drop a little bit lower.  Although I'll be saying goodbye to that symptom, I'll be saying hello to more pressure on my bladder and pelvis. Yay.

Movement: So much! It definitely makes me really uncomfortable at times, but it's really comforting emotionally to know that my baby boy is just trying to give me really great snuggles.

Nausea/Sickness: None since my bout with food poisoning, thank goodness.

Sleep: I haven't been sleeping well. Sleep and I have a super Love/Hate relationship.  I need sleep in order to give my body the rest it needs from daily activities and growing a human, but I never look forward to sleep because I know I'll just wake up in a few hours AND I seriously have the worst pregnancy dreams.  They are crazy weird and in all seriousness it makes me not look forward to falling asleep because I don't have joyous, pleasant dreams.  But I need to stop complaining and just take it for what it is because in just a few weeks, I'll be begging for a nap!

Maternity Clothes: No, of course not.  I'm wearing prepregnancy jeans everyday and tight shirts. Kidding. Dresses are my friend right now and I wear open toed shoes most of the time to help my feet not swell {or at least I notice the swelling less}. I find myself repeating a lot of outfits lately, but that's because the of pile clothes that fit me gets smaller every week. Black dresses and cardigans have been my go-to lately.
{Note: This exact outfit and hairstyle were repeated today. No shame.}

Wedding Ring On or Off?: Off. It's been sitting in the same spot for weeks and I just keep forgetting to wear it!

Best Moment of the Week: General Conference.  I love the opportunity to listen to church leaders. I always try to go into watching General Conference with specific questions that I feel like I would like answered.  And always, those questions are answered.  Most of my questions had to do with motherhood, parenthood, raising children, and having a gospel centered family.  If you watched General Conference, I think you probably picked up on the fact that a lot of the talks were family oriented.  I'm grateful that my questions and prayers were answered.

Worst Moment of the Week: Honestly, I can't think of a single thing.  {Wait....whaaat? I know, right?!}  This doesn't really happen too often, so I am just grateful that Kurt and I have had such an incredible week together and that he and I are both healthy, our baby boy is growing stronger and healthier every day, and we have had such an incredible week!

Looking Forward To: My baby shower! My best friend from Santa Barbara is getting things together for a baby shower for Peanut & me next week.  I seriously have the most amazing people in my life, and I can't wait for all of these amazing people to meet our little boy!

32 WEEKS

Size: Pineapple {17" long, about 4 lbs}

Gender: Boy!

Baby Names?: I hung a letter "C" in our baby's room this week and I am so excited we've stayed set on the name we chose...or Kurt chose. {So yes...our baby boy's name starts with a "C"}

Cravings: Fruit...lots and lots of fruit.

Aversions: Still can't do salsa.  I have to leave the room if Kurt eats it.  Kurt had some during dinner the other day and I ran into the bathroom and, well...let's say I had an empty stomach.  I don't think I'll be able to eat salsa for the rest of my life.

Symptoms: Lack of sleep, fatigue, leg cramps, back & hip pain.  Pretty much nothing I haven't experienced already, except I am now experiencing it all at once and it's the most uncomfortable I've ever been.  My feet and hands swell like crazy and it takes a really long time to reduce the swelling. Oh well.

Movement: More and more every week! I've gotten so used to him moving around that sometimes I don't notice it.  He definitely makes his presence known every 20 minutes or so.

Nausea/Sickness: Just whenever I smell salsa {haha this is getting so old, I'm sorry!}

Sleep: I'm getting less and less as the weeks go on.  I'm having a difficult time falling asleep, which makes it even more impossible to wake up in the morning for work.

Maternity Clothes: Obviously.  Fortunately I wear scrubs 3 days a week because that lets me feel like I have more outfit options during the other 4 days of the week.

Wedding Ring On or Off?: Mostly off because of work and I always forget to put it back on.  BUT, I put it on the other day and could barely get it off! Now I just don't wear it because I don't ever want to get to the point where I need it cut off or something.

Best Moment of the Week: So many good things happened this week.  My twin sister flew in for my baby shower and surprised me! It was seriously the best surprise I could've gotten {unless my older sister somehow could fly from Hawaii and take time off of school/work/military duties and join us...but being adults we all understand that that's kind of far fetched.} Thank you to everyone who made my Baby Shower so perfect.  I am seriously blessed with the most amazing family & friends.

Kurt and I were also able to have another doctors appointment and little Peanut is head down and getting himself ready to enter this world!  This would explain the increase in pressure in my pelvis, the punches to my bladder, and the kicks to my ribs ;)

Worst Moment of the Week: Not necessarily a moment, but Kurt and I feel like we've hardly seen each other this past week!  It hasn't been super fun having us both come home from work and have meetings/plans afterwards that involve us to be apart.

Looking Forward To: This was a question that someone asked me at my baby shower this week.  The thing I've been looking forward to most isn't an event or something that will occur on a certain day; I am so excited to see the relationship between Kurt & our son grow.  I've had many months where I've been able to bond with, talk to, & spend time with our little boy.  I can't wait for the day when Kurt gets to hold our baby and I'm looking forward to watching their bond get stronger.

33 WEEKS

Size: Honeydew Melon {18" long, 4.5 lbs}

Gender: Boy :) I'm loving this little son of mine more and more every day.

Baby Names?:  I still can't believe we have a name picked out! I just can't wait for our little boy to have a name.

Cravings: No cravings recently but just like last week, fruit has been a big staple. It must be if I bought 8 pounds of strawberries for Kurt and I.

Aversions: Take a wild guess...

Symptoms: I've been getting some bad leg cramps and my feet swell a lot.  The one thing that is new is that I'm pretty confident Peanut's dropped a bit.  Looking back through pictures, I definitely see a change in the way I've been carrying him.

Movement: Less movement, but a lot more powerful.  Kicks are stronger, flips are more intense and it creates a lot of pressure on my hips and pelvis.

Nausea/Sickness: None, thank goodness!

Sleep: It's getting hard to get a decent night's sleep.  I always have some sort of back pain or hip pain and that makes it a little more difficult finding a comfortable position to sleep in.  I seem to be doing alright if I can still function the next day.

Maternity Clothes: A majority of the time, yes.  Some of my prepregnancy clothes still "fit".  I usually have to pair tops with a long tank top underneath because a lot of my shirts are too short.  I'm super grateful that I've been able to borrow clothes, because it's made my life so much easier.

Wedding Ring On or Off?: I can still put them on, but I just don't really wear my wedding ring & band too much anymore.  I would hate for them to get stuck on my hand or me take them off and lose them somewhere.

Best Moment of the Week: Seeing friends! I went to 2 baby showers and 1 birthday celebration all in the same day and it was fantastic.  I love having busy weekends full of spending time with friends.  I am so excited for all the fun things they are doing, have done, and are planning on doing.

Worst Moment of the Week: Kurt and I have been so busy that we've hardly had time to hang out, just the 2 of us.  We're always going somewhere, meeting up with someone, going to work, doing church things, etc. that we don't always get the time to hang out at home and be together.  I'm looking forward to the month of May where we will be able to spend more time together before our boy comes.

Looking Forward To: We have another doctors appointment coming up next week! Kurt and I feel like these past few visits have been pretty pointless because we spend no more than 15 minutes there. But even though they are short & sweet, we are so grateful for how short & sweet they are because it means baby and I are healthy. I'll take it :)

34 WEEKS

Size: Durian {18.3" long, 4.8 lbs.}
I had to look up what a Durian was. Apparently it is considered the King of Fruits in Southeast Asia.  I don't know whether it tastes good, but it definitely looks kind of weird.  I'm fairly confident that out little boy will look a lot cuter than a Durian.

Gender: Boy! I told my doctor this week that I'm afraid that I'm doing all this preparation to have a boy for nothing because I'm going to give birth to a baby girl haha.  I've only had 2 ultrasounds {both at 20 weeks} and both techs said that I was having a boy, but I haven't seen Peanut since then.  So my fingers are crossed that this boy is a boy.

Baby Names?: Every time I say it out loud, I smile.  Kurt did such a wonderful job chosing his name.  I can't wait to officially name our baby boy.

Cravings: No cravings, but I had my second burger during the entire time I've been pregnant and it was so delicious.  Funny enough, both times I've had a hamburger, it's been from The Habit. It's my favorite burger place.

Aversions: Do I even need to keep answering this question? We all know that the answer is S-A-L-S-A.

Symptoms: Lack of sleep for sure, serious swelling of my feet,  lower back & hip pain, and some serious pressure on my bladder and my pelvis.

Movement: So much of it.  As of right now with the whole counting 10 movements in the span of an hour thing, Peanut has no problem passing that little test.

Nausea/Sickness: No nausea, but I do get dizzy and less cordinated as the weeks go on haha.

Sleep: Not very good.  It's been really hard to sleep lately.  We've had some crazy days during the week and it's made sleeping quite difficult.  I'm consistently waking up to use the loo in the early hours of the morning.  I can't complain though, I slept really well for the majority of my pregnancy.  Looks like my body is just preparing me for when I transition to getting only a couple hours of sleep at a time.

Maternity Clothes: Pretty much only maternity clothes now.  Dresses are definitely the most comfortable right now, along with my Sanuk flip flops.  My feet have been so swollen lately! Even though all of my shoes fit still, they just aren't very comfortable to wear for long periods of time.  These flip flops have seriously saved my life. Thank you, Mom for buying these for me several years ago!

Wedding Ring On or Off?: Off because I keep forgetting to put it on.  I'm sure it hardly fits anymore, I'm just too scared to try it on haha

Best Moment of the Week: Kurt and I were able to go to the Payson Utah Temple Open House.  I love being able to walk through the temple.  Temples make me so grateful for this growing family of mine! Kurt and I also had the opportunity this week to do some temple work on the 2 year anniversary of me going to the temple for the first time.  I had a really eye-opening experience while I was there:  Kurt was able to walk right in and I had a 45 minute wait.  There were about 15 ladies in front of me who were also waiting to do temple work.  The woman who sat next to me started talking to me about how busy the temple was, but how great it is to have it be busy.  She then said, "We're waiting 45 minutes to do temple work.  I'm fairly certain that the sisters we are doing this work for having been waiting much longer than we have.  What an incredible opportunity we have to sit in the House of the Lord and serve them." All negative feelings about having to sit and wait as an uncomfortable pregnant woman who hadn't eaten lunch completely vanished from my mind.  This sister was right! The sisters of ours who are waiting for their temple work to be completed have been waiting SO much longer than 45 minutes to receive the blessings of the temple.  The least I could do is wait my turn with a smile on my face and a positive attitude.

Also, we bought a car! Our second car broke down over a month ago and Kurt and I have been driving each other to work.  Fortunately, we have been working close to each other for the last month so it hasn't been to inconvenient.  Having a second car has been a game-changer for us this week and we are excited to have a second {& reliable} car for when Peanut arrives.

Worst Moment of the Week: On Friday, my feet were so swollen that I could barely walk.  It was so painful.  Good thing I have a husband who will rub my feet without complaining.  It's probably not his favorite thing to do, but the fact that he is always willing to help me is such a wonderful thing.

Looking Forward To: Our Anniversary! We are going on 2 years on April 27th.  It's incredible to see how much we have accomplished in the last 2 years because of the support that we give one another.  I know I wouldn't be where I am today without the love and support from Kurt. I am so in love with my husband, and I love him more and more every day.  I don't know what I did to deserve such a selfless and caring man!  I love him so much now- I can only imagine how much I will love him when we become a family of 3.

Our anniversary picture for 2015

Every time I look back on how the week went, I usually can't believe how quickly time has passed.  I've been working on compiling all of my pregnancy photos and putting them in order and it's crazy to see how much Peanut {and let's be honest, myself as well...} has grown.  Not just physically for the both of us, but I am a totally different person than I was before I found out I was pregnant. Pregnancy has been such an adventure for both Kurt & me; there have been so many wonderful things that have happened, along with a lot of unfortunate & not-so-fun things.
Pregnancy is hard, people! The backaches and nausea can be overwhelmingly difficult and painful.  The swollen feet make life a whole lot worse than it needs to be.  Pregnancy comes with a lot of crazy emotions and a lot of fears.  But I am so grateful for the opportunity that I have to become a mother.  I look down at my ever-growing and ever-moving bump {which is twitching right now because Peanut has the hiccups!}, and I can't believe that I have been given the ability to grow a tiny, fragile, delicate, little human.  I have the blessing of bringing another life into this world with my loving husband, and we are so grateful that we've been trusted with such a precious gift.

6 more weeks until Kurt and I can hold our baby!

33 WEEKS

Size: Honeydew Melon {18" long, 4.5 lbs}

34 WEEKS

Size: Durian {18.3" long, 4.8 lbs.}
